This laptop is the biggest piece of shit I've ever owned. I'm sorry I bought. I've had every iteration of the precision line all the way back to M90 and I've always been extremely happy. This laptop makes me sad to see the demise of the Precision line.
It is taking more than 2 hours to render 8 minutes 1080 60p video at my precision m5510, My specs are i7 6800HQ, 32gb Ram, 512 SSD Hynix Nvme, 2Gb M Quadro graphics card. Please tell me why is it taking so long, previously render was faster. Thanks

sorry, but you failed to answer the fundamental question, why would anyone buy the 5510 instead of the XPS 15 9550; the 960M card is way better than the M1000M.

Is the Xeon worth the extra buck? I am buying 5520. I do have a great deal from the school but it carries 7820hq. 0.1Ghz spec difference from Xeon. If I want a Xeon I have to order from dell at full price =/
couple things you should do for you next "review".
1. Clean the computer. Dude you had so many oil spots and dust specs on the screen it made this review unwatchable.
2. Proof read your text. You wrote the word "to" as "tto".
Xeon and Nvidia Quadro is not for gaming

MacBook Pro is still the standard. Unbelievable that all of these laptop manufacturers can't overthrow Apple.
It's a nice laptop, however I chose the HP ZBook Studio over this one. The Dell lacks an ethernet port and anything that works with Windows Hello.

Xeon or xenon?
Can any of you recommend a great laptop for my needs? I'm willing to spend whatever I must but I also want to save as much money as I can. I'm looking to go back to college early next year and will be majoring in Programming and/or Stock trading. I also want to edit 4K videos and RAW photos. I don't care for gaming on a laptop specifically but I definitely want a powerful enough laptop that can be a productivity machine with no cpu/gpu slowdown that can tackle any college assignment. Also, Thunderbolt 3 would be nice to have but I don't really require it unless you guys think I should have it. One last thing, if any of you recommend a Macbook Pro, can you give me the cheapest configuration possible that can handle my needs? Thanks in advance for any feedback you give me!

When did Intel and Nvidia start making mobile versions of their Xeon and Quadro? I'm assuming the Quadro card is based off of Pascal
